Altan Presbyterian Church

Easter Egg Hunt will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 30. Easter breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. on March 31 with Sunday School at 10:15 a.m.  and worship at 11 a.m.

Austin Grove Baptist Church

On Thursday, Mar 28 at 7:00 p.m. we will have Communion & a Drama - “The Last Words.” On Easter Sunday we will have Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m., Breakfast at 7:15 a.m., Sunday School at 8:15 a.m. and Morning Worship at 9:15 a.m.

First Baptist Church of Indian Trail

First Presbyterian Church

First Presbyterian Church at 302 East Windsor Street will present the Palm Sunday cantata, “Jesus! Name of Wondrous Love,” at the 10:45 a.m. service on March 24. Strings and woodwinds from the Union Symphony as well as Captial City Brass our of Columbia, S.C. will be heard in works by Bach, Handel, Rutter and others. There will be performances by the handbell choir and vocal soloists.

Greater Blessed Hope Baptist Church

The annual Palm Sunday concert is planned for 4 p.m. March 24.

Hamilton Cross Roads Baptist

“Worthy is the Lamb,” an Easter drama, will be presented at 7 p.m. March 24 and March 29 at the church at 6133 Old Goldmine Road in Marshville.

Hebron United Methodist Church

Spring Bazaar will be March 23 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Baked goods, yard sale items.

Indian Trail Presbyterian Church

The Indian Trail Presbyterian Church’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 30 from 2-4 PM on the Church Lawn.  Learn about the Easter Story, enjoy snacks and games, and find lot of Easter eggs.  You may even find the golden egg and win a prize. 

Indian Trail Presbyterian Church will celebrate and Easter Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday at 7 am.  in front of the Church Fellowship Hall.  Following the Sunrise Service the Men of the Church will provide and pancake and sausage breakfast for all in attendance.  At the regular 11 am. worship service, the choir will present an Easter cantata entitled “Amazing Grace.”

Mount Zion Baptist Church

Pleasant Plains Baptist

The Eighth Annual Tim Sherin Memorial Softball Tournament will be held at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church located at 3316 Pleasant Plains Rd., Matthews, NC on April 12 and April 13, 2013. Games will start at 6 p.m. on Friday night and 7 a.m. on Saturday morning. Everyone is welcome to attend & our concession stand will be open at all times, even breakfast on Saturday morning. We will be holding a raffle drawing after the last game. No winner will receive anything worth less than $20.00 & the grand prize winners will receive NASCAR tickets for the Charlotte races in May. Raffle tickets will be available at the games if you have not had a chance to purchase them beforehand. Our pastor is Rev. Siler Presbyterian Church

Siler Presbyterian Church will host their 4th annual “Transitions Conference”, a conference dealing with issues related to aging. The targeted population is anyone facing upcoming changes in their lives related to aging issues-- either a family member or their own. This year’s focus is “Your Future- Your Finance”.  The conference is March 23  from 9 a.m. (registration at 8:30 - 4:00 in the Fellowship Hall of Siler Presbyterian church.  There will be a variety of expert speakers as well as individuals represnting various resources available to support families as they care for the aging family member.  There is a $10.00 fee which covers lunch. Union Baptist Church

On Sunday, March 24th, Union Baptist Church will have a special worship service beginning at 10:30 A.M., featuring HOLY CITY Southern Gospel Quartet (www.holycitysg.com) from Charleston, SC.   The following Sunday (March 31st) Easter morning services will begin at 7:30 A.M. with Sunrise Service, and breakfast.  Sunday School will begin at 9:00, and preaching at 10:00.  Rev. Tim Madaris is continuing the series on THE BIBLE, in conjunction with the television series on the History Channel throughout March.
