Bethlehem United Methodist Church

New Beginning Circle will have an indoor craft and vendor sale on March 16 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 5300 Nesbit Road, Waxhaw. Pastor's Prayer Luncheon

All pastors and ministers serving churches in Union County are invited to gather at Quincy's Restaurant  in Monroe on March 16 at 11:30 a.m. for lunch. At this time, you will learn abou the history of "The Pastor's Prayer Luncheon" and the ways that Christians across denominational and church lines can support one another in their spiritual lives while engaging in mission and outreach to our communities. At this meeting, we plan to ask for a "love offering" that will be sent to Lake View Baptist Church to assist them in building a home for an older woman named Claudia who lives alone. These luncheons are open to all pastors and ministers of all denominations and races.

Poplar Hill Missionary Baptist Church

St. Luke's Lutheran Church

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Monroe will host the Community Lenten Service at noon on March 6. Pastor Chris Dawson will be the guest preacher. A light lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall at 12:30 PM. The offering will be given to the Union Country Literacy Council.

Siler Presbyterian Church

Siler Presbyterian Church will host their 4th annual "Transitions Conference", a conference dealing with issues related to aging. The targeted population is anyone facing upcoming changes in their lives related to aging issues-- either a family member or their own. This year's focus is "Your Future- Your Finance".  The conference is March 23  from 9am (registration at 8:30 - 4:00 in the Fellowship Hall of Siler Presbyterian church.  There will be a variety of expert speakers as well as individuals represnting various resources available to support families as they care for the aging family member.  There is a $10.00 fee which covers lunch. Stallings United Methorist

Union Baptist Church

"Throughout the month of March, Rev. Tim Madaris will be presenting a series on THE BIBLE, in conjunction with the TV series on the HISTORY Channel.  Also, on Sunday evening, March 10th, at 6 p.m., we will have guest speakers Jim and Jan Mulvihill, Chilean Evangelism missionaries, joining us for a special evening service, followed by refreshments.  Our Wednesday night suppers and Bible study continue, with all donations for supper  going to our upcoming mission trip fund.  Join us at 6:30 each week for food, fellowship, and learning, as we continue to study in the Book of Acts.

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church

Community Event: Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church has scheduled a Poor Mans Dinner for its next Community Event.  It will be at the church in the Community Building on March 9 from 5 - 8 p.m.  The menu will consist of potatos, cabbage, pinto beans, cornbread, and tea.  Dine in or take out  Price will be $7 per plate and children under 7 eat free.  So load up the family (yes, bring the mother in law), and enjoy your evening. Wings of Love Mission Barbecue will serve plates of barbecue, cole slaw, baked beans, bread and a dessert for $8 on March 9 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dine in or take out. Proceeds will help provide transportation for children needing medical care or hospital visits.
