It may not be Easter, but Cadbury is ready to find a home.

Cadbury is a shy, sweet gray calico kitten. She is between four and 12 months. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. She was surrendered by her previous owners and has been at the shelter for about a week.

It may take Cadbury a little time to warm up to someone, but she is friendly and enjoys being petted. Once she comes out of her shell, she can be quite playful.

Taz and Paisley, two very playful kittens, are still waiting for their forever homes to explore.

Red Bone is a friendly hound mix. He enjoys running and letting his big ears flop behind him. He is quiet, sweet and playful.

Red Bone is an adult. He is up-to-date on his shots and is not neutered, but that is included in the adoption fee. He was found as a stray and has been at the shelter for about a week. He is anxious to find a new home.

Hugo, a friendly and playful shepherd mix, is still waiting for a family to play with. Boo, a sweet hound mix, is waiting for a family. She is very active and will thrive with an active family. Scruffy, a terrier mix, is also still waiting for a home to play in.

The fee for adopting a dog or a cat is $85. The fee includes first shots, deworming, a heartworm check, rabies shots, spaying or neutering and a one time "well check" vet visit.

The shelter is on 3340 Presson Road in Monroe. The phone number is 704-283-8303. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
