The Adoptables
Paisley is a quiet, thoughtful Boxer mix. She has been at the Union County Animal Shelter for about a week.
The adult female is white with brown spots, and light brown eyes. She is calm, but likes to play. She was recently a mother, but seems to have weaned her puppies. Now she is looking for a home and a family to care for her.
Trooper is an all-black male terrier mix. He is high energy and would be a great dog for an active family.
Bubba is a tiny fluff of orange tabby fur. This male kitten is about five weeks old and has a relaxed personality. He is very playful, but also affectionate. He has a purr far larger than his physical size.
Adoption fees for either a dog or a cat is $85. That fee pays for the pet's first shots, deworming, a heartworm check, rabies shots, spaying or neutering and a one time "well check" vet visit.
The shelter is on 3340 Presson Road in Monroe. The phone number is 704-283-8303. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
