The Adoptables
Tucker is large, sweet and goofy. He is also available for adoption and waiting for a family at the Union County Animal Shelter.
This large, adult hound mix is neutered and up-to-date on his shots. He has been at the shelter for about a week.
He likes to play, run and fetch. However, he won't mind sitting still for a belly rub. He will do best in an active environment with a yard.
He is a happy-go-lucky guy who was surrendered by his previous owner. He seems to know some basic obedience and may be housebroken.
Marble is a sweet, quiet calico kitten. She is a domestic short-haired cat who is about four months old. She is up-to-date on her shots and is not spayed, but that is included in the adoption fee.
Marble has a striking face and beautiful fur. Her body shakes with her purr and she wants nothing more than to snuggle up with a new family.
The fee for adopting a dog or a cat is $85. The fee includes first shots, deworming, a heartworm check, rabies shots, spaying or neutering and a one time "well check" vet visit.
The shelter is on 3340 Presson Road in Monroe. The phone number is 704-283-8303. Adoption hours are Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
