Yellow crime scene tape marks a safety perimeter around a house at 2307 New Town Road, just past the intersection with Fletcher Broome Road. Passing motorists slowed to a crawl, peering out for glimpse at what may have drawn more than half dozen marked law enforcement vehicles, fire trucks and an ambulance. Mineral Springs, station 15 firefighters were dispatched to the site shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday and, upon arrival, scrambled to assemble an on-site decontamination tent on an adjoining lot. Sheriiff's deputies had discovered a suspected meth lab at the property, according to emergency personnel on the scene as a young white female was brought to the tent for decontamination. The same female left the tent a few minutes later, wet, wearing a dark blue disposable jump-suit. And hand-cuffs.
