Saturdays without mail?
The U.S. Postal Service announced Wednesday that it plans to eliminate Saturday delivery of all mail other than packages in an effort to save $2 billion annually. According to the statement, delivery of all packages would continue on the six-day schedule as we know it now. Delivery to post office boxes would continue on the six-day schedule as well and post offices that are now open on Saturdays would remain open under the proposed plan.
