Sam's Grill serves it burgers inside out

Sam’s Grille opened in July and features a variety of menu items and a family focused atmosphere.

Owned by Sam Sagatchi and Habib Sagatchi, the business, which can be found in the Union Festival Shopping Center in Indian Trail, has already gained a lot of attention.

The Sagatchi’s previously operated Oliver’s Restaurant in uptown Charlotte but later closed it and decided recently to open Sam’s Grille at 614 Indian Trail Road South in Indian Trail.

“Indian Trail is growing so much,” Sam Sagatchi said in reference to one of the reasons why they chose to open the restaurant in Indian Trail.

She also wanted it in Indian Trail because she heard the town had a lot of good residential support when it comes to businesses. Since opening, she has experienced some of the residential support first hand by being able to meet many of the local residents who have stopped by Sam’s Grille to eat. She enjoys meeting the different customers as well as being able to prepare and serve meals at the business with the help of her family and staff, she said.

“My husband has been in the restaurant business for 30 years and I have a passion for cooking,” she said.

In addition to herself and the restaurant staff, her husband, Habib and sons Sina and Cameron also help out at the business.

At Sam’s Grille, customers can choose from a large list of menu items that include homemade burgers, salads, sandwiches, Cajun and Greek inspired dishes.

Brittany Lane, a waitress at Sam’s Grille, recommends trying the restaurant’s Inside-Out-Burger, which is one of her favorite menu items.

“It’s a giant burger filled with cheese and bacon, you can’t go wrong,” Lane said.

They hope to eventually expand the business and to possibly add beer and wine to the menu and possibly even start serving breakfast as well, Sam Sagatchi said.

Sam’s Grille is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. and closed Sundays.
