Deaths for Dec. 30, 2012
Mrs. Clara Tarlton Bigham, age 96, passed away Friday December 28, 2012 at her home.
She was born September 22, 1916 in Chesterfield County, SC, the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas T. Tarlton and the late Mrs. Ella Frances Pressley Tarlton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband: John Earl Bigham, Sr. on May 23, 1990; one daughter: Jean Plyler; one grandson: Chris Bigham; five brothers; one sister.
Mrs. Bigham is survived by two daughters: Earline Bigham of the home, Lynda B. Herring of Monroe, NC; two sons: John Earl Bigham, Jr. and wife Laura of Lancaster, SC, Thomas Lee Bigham and Laura of Waxhaw, NC; nineteen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; nineteen great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Monday December 31, 2012 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Houston Baptist Church with Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bigham beginning at 2:00 PM at the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Jay Strickleather and the Rev. Daniel Bigham, with burial to follow in the Waxhaw Baptist Church Cemetery.

Marie Moser Crook
Ms. Marie Moser Crook, age 62, of Stallings, North Carolina, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday (December 26, 2012) as a result of an automobile accident.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening (January 2, 2013) at Davis Funeral Home 1003 East Franklin St, Monroe, NC 28112.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Marie's Life will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday evening (January 3, 2013) at Next Level Church, 4317 Stevens Mill Rd., Matthews, NC 28104 officiated by Pastor Todd Hahn, Pastor Mark Gillming, and Dr. William Wiley.
Mrs. Moser was born on September 15, 1950, in Charlotte, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Joseph Eugene Moser and Helen Reeves Porter Moser. In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by a granddaughter, Holly Hunt; a sister, Deborah Moser, and her beautiful daughter, Jennifer Hunt who passed away in the same automobile accident with Marie.
Ms. Moser worked in Customer Service and loved to be around people. She was always quick to help her family and cherished all of her wonderful grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Cori H. Favor of Monroe, NC, her son, Jay Hunt and wife, Raquel DaSilva of Matthews, NC, sisters Marsha Moser Flint of Kernersville, NC, and Jeanette M. Rafferty and husband Jerry of Charlotte, NC; brother, Donald Moser and wife Ruthie of Mt. Pleasant, NC. Marie is also survived by her grandchildren, Blake Killough, Jabre Anthony, Ashlyn Hunt, Hailey Hunt, and Aleigha Hunt, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Marie will surely be missed, and was loved by her entire family.

Bill Glasheen of Monroe, N.C., entered God’s Kingdom on December 10, 2012 following a long illness.
A celebration of Bill’s life will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Matthew Catholic Church Chapel, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, 28277. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services.
Bill was born May 22, 1938 to Dennis Cornelius and Irene Kelly Glasheen of Cohoes, N.Y. He was the brother of Mary Rose Kelly, Denise Bills and Dennis Glasheen. In 1964, he married Kathryn Theresa Kelly and together they raised two daughters, Susan and Kathy. Bill worked for over 30 years at Allegheny Ludlum/Al-Tech Steel and then retired to North Carolina to play golf year-round. In retirement, Bill enjoyed working part-time at Carmel County Club.
Bill was a kind and generous man and truly never met a stranger. In his later years, Bill dealt with a variety of health problems, but never let those diminish his love of life and enjoyment of his loved ones.
Bill is survived by his loving wife and daughters, in addition to his extended family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, PO Box 019132, Miami, FL 22101 or a charity of one’s choice. A special thank you to the staff of Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Monroe for their compassionate care for Bill.

Jennifer loved spending time with her family. She was happiest doing anything that involved her kids and their friends. Shirlene McGill Yeargins, 76, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 and went straight into the arms of her Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on April 14, 1936, daughter of the late John McNeill and Shirley Morse McGill.
Mrs. Yeargins loved her Lord, living a life of service to Him. She was especially proud of her family and had the deepest love for each of them.
A memorial service will be Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Philadelphia Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Yeargins is survived by her husband, Henry Ellis Yeargins; son, James Richard Regehr, Jr. of Matthews; daughters Katherine Lynn Regehr Denhart (John) of Charlotte and Virginia Dale Regehr Pope of Columbia, SC; stepsons Michael Yeargins of Albany, GA and Douglas Yeargins (Teresa) of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren Kyle (Christy), Kendall, Laura, Haley and Victoria; stepgrandchildren Lilly and Claire; great-grandson Bennett; and brothers John McGill, Jr. (Kathy) of Watkinsville, GA, Ralph McGill (Mari Anne) of Farragut, TN and Bill McGill (Jeanne)of Yorktown, VA.
