Patrick Boyles
Mr. Patrick Eugene Boyles, 48, passed away Saturday December 8, 2012.  He was a native of Clarion County, Pa. He was born April 26, 1964, son of Paul Frederick Boyles and Patricia Jane Gourley Boyles.  Mr. Boyles was an IT consultant in the computer industry.  Patrick was a proud Eagle Scout and served as a volunteer coach with Upward Sports.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn Hollis Boyles; son, Andersen Parker Boyles; parents, Paul and Pat Boyles of Clarion, Pa.; brothers, Paul Boyles and wife, Nicole, of Monroe, and Dave Boyles and wife, Sue Ann, of Clarion, Pa.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at the Central Church of God Charlotte, 5301 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC, 28270. Officiating will be Pastor Loran Livingston. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Internment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church of Marshville, NC, 28103. Memorial may be contributed to the trust for Andersen Parker Boyles, Park Sterling Bank 310 W. Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112; and Hometown Heroes of Union County P.O. Box 953. Charles Heafner
Charles Earl Heafner, 84, passed away Monday, December 10, 2012.  He was born in Mecklenburg County on July 29, 1928, son of the late William Wesley and Irva Cornwell Heafner.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Heafner, who died March 18, 1996.
He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as purchasing agent for Charlotte Pipe and Foundry after 34 years of service.  He served as transportation director for Iron Horse Motorcycles and was the president of the Liars Club.  He loved golf and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He served as a great example to live by to his family and friends and will live forever in our hearts.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 3 p.m. in Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy Campus, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, NC  28110, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will visit with friends and relatives Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC  28112.
Mr. Heafner is survived by his sons, Mike and wife, Nique, Dennis and wife, Cindi, both of Monroe, and Ronnie and wife, Rena, of Oakboro; daughters, Bonnie Haigler, and husband, Vann; and Susan H. Benton, both of Monroe; grandchildren, Kerry, Kolby, Kayla and Luke Heafner, Tiffany and husband, Sergio Padilla, Dustin Haigler, Tiffany and husband, Wes Roberts, and Brandie Benton; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Locklear and Gavin Padilla and his canine companion, Clora and many other loved family members.

William Alfred Lowery, 78, of Pageland, S.C. died Dec. 9, 2012.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at Sutton-Baumgartner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland, S.C. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at Sutton-Baumgartner Funeral Home.




Mack Rogers
Lonnie McAuther “Mack” Rogers, 70 of 1723 US 13 North, died Sunday December 9, 2012 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday Dec. 12, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Windsor Assembly of God.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30  Wednesday, Dec. 12th at Windsor Assembly of God and at other times from the home.
