Mike Huey
Kenneth Michael "Mike" Huey, 60, of Waxhaw died January 17, 2013.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Pleasant Plains Missionary Baptist Church, 3721 Shiloh Unity Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Monroe, NC.



Ruby Pressley
Ruby Jewel Pressley, 81, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013.  She was born in Union County on March 11, 1931, daughter of the late Onis and Dora Ann Williams Guion.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Craven Eugene Pressley. Jewel was a loving wife, mother and sister, and will be missed.
Mrs. Pressley is survived by her daughter, Barbara Richardson, of Charlotte; brothers, Harold Guion of Ft. Mill, S.C., Vance Guion, Benny Neal Guion and Cecil Guion, all of Monroe, Brice Guion of Concord and Larry Guion of Charlotte; sisters, Arliene Brown of Charlotte, Betty Jo Helms of Mount Holly and Shirley Kay Guion.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 3 p.m. in Secrest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 4505 Weddington Road, Monroe NC  28112.  The family will visit with friends and relatives Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe NC  28112.

Agnes Wolfe
Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Belk Wolfe, age 90, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Monroe Square Assisted Living in Monroe, N.C.
Mrs. Wolfe was a daughter of the late Mr. Stafford Milton Belk, Sr. and Mrs. Ida Mae McManus Belk of Union County, N.C.
During her lifetime she worked for the Celanese Plant in Rock Hill, S.C. and the Guardian Care Nursing Home in Monroe, N.C.
Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Walter Wolfe, and she was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Wolfe; and two daughters, Martha Drake and Mickie Eudy; and also a grandson, Jim Wilson Wolfe; five brothers, J.D., Archie, George, Stafford, Jr. and Robert Belk; also three) sisters, Pauline Hammonds Barr, Lula Mae Cauthen and Margie Nivens.
Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two sons, Tom Wolfe (Roberta) of Rock Hill, S.C. and Jerry Wolfe of Monroe, N.C.; five grandchildren, Patty Davenport (Gary) of Indian Trail, N.C., Tim Wolfe of Rock Hill, S.C., Helen Wolfe of Asheville, N.C., Jennifer McCord (Nick) of Waxhaw, N.C. and Gregory Wolfe (Julie) of Belmont, N.C.; and five great-Grandchildren, Jantzen, Allie, and Austin Stewart of Indian Trail, N.C., and Hannah and Rachel Wolfe of Stallings, N.C., and a “special niece”, Sandy Anderson (Larry) of Monroe, N.C.
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Thursday afternoon January 24, 2013 from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. at the McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe, N.C.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wolfe will then begin at 2 p.m. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Emily Kroeger, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Campground Cemetery in Mineral Springs, N.C. 28108.
