Jermey Maurice Barbour, 23, of Monroe, died Monday, November, 26, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-Union.

Mr. Bobby (Bob) Lee Brown, age 72, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, at CMC-Union.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Bobby (Bob) Lee Brown will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Mountain Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Phil McLean.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, December 1, 2012, prior to the ceremony at Mountain Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Brown was born on February 19, 1940, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, a son of the late John Quincy Brown and Cordie Brown Brown.
He was retired from the service center at Tyson Foods after 40 years of dedicated service, and was a resident of Union County since 1967.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Jane Anderson Brown of Monroe; a daughter, Carlesa Brown Martin and husband Link Martin of Marshville; a son, Bobby Jeffery Brown and wife Margaret Brown of Monroe; two sisters, Jean Galloway and Ruby Jennings both of Wilkes County, North Carolina.
There are seven grandchildren, Ramey Joe Brown of Fort Benning, Georgia, Scott Martin of Marshville, Adam Brown of Charlotte, Kayla Brown of Charlotte and Christopher Martin of Marshville, Tonya Griffin of Rockwell and Christy Wheeler of Kannapolis; and eleven great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mountain Springs Baptist Church, 2509 Mountain Springs Church Road, Monroe, North Carolina 28112.

Delores Covington Culbreath, 67 of Brunswick, Ga., formerly of Monroe, N.C. died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home.

William Sanford "Bill" Houston Jr., 84, of Wingate died Sunday, November 25, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Saturday, December 1, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, 302 E. Windsor St., Monroe, N.C. with the Rev. Christopher Houston, Eulogist, Interment with full military honors will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Monroe, N.C.
Born in Monroe, N.C. October 13, 1928 to the late William Sanford Houston, Jr. and Maggie Elizabeth Foster Houston, he was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a retired professional truck driver.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 Years Mary Elizabeth Chambers Houston of the home; three daughters, Phyllis Houston-White of Wingate, N.C., Elmira Houston-White (Bernard) of Hollywood Hills, Ca., and Mazella Houston of San Francisco, Ca.; one sister-in-law, Cauthen Houston; one daugter-in-law, Tijuana Cheek Houston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

William Howard Lowe, Sr., 81, of Charlotte died November 28, 2012.
Services will be November 30, 2012 at noon at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Charles Richard Price, 73, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012. He was born in Union County, N.C. on March 5, 1939 son of the late Burl James and Shirley Benton Price. Mr. Price was owner and president of Beam Electric Company.
Funeral services will b e held Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Lakeview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Price cemetery.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Sarah Libes Price who passed away in 2006. He is survived by a son, Richard Carlton Price and wife, Gina, of Monroe; brother, Edward Price of Monroe; sister, Vada Aldridge of Charlotte and two grandchildren, Shelby and Charley Price.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Gary Stokes, 56, of Monroe, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.

Julish “Howard” Younts, 77, of Indian Trail passed away on November 28, 2012.
Howard was born on July 29, 1935 in Union County, son of the late Wayne and Virginia Younts. He is also predeceased by his only son, Mitchell Howard Younts and sister, Frances Alexander.
He was a long-time member of Indian Trail United Methodist Church. Howard retired from Duke Energy after 22 years of service. He loved gardening, fishing, NASCAR, and camping, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Bertha Younts; daughters, Karen Younts and Sherry Roldan (Jimmy); sister, Shirley Roland (Don); brothers, Dale Younts (Frances) and Richard Younts (Lou Ellen); granddaughters, Kisha and Amber; 4 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 12PM at Indian Trail United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Parsons officiating. The family will begin to receive friends at 11AM. Burial will be private.
