Heaven received another angel on Friday morning as Eula Wallace Moore went to be with her Lord and Savior.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 6525 Old Monroe Road in Indian Trail. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Eula was born February 16, 1936 in Union County and was the daughter of the late William Grady and Mary Lucille Helms Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce and sister, Martha Crowley. A homemaker for 27 years, she stayed home to raise her children. In 1985, she was hired by Wal-Mart in Monroe and remained a faithful employee for 21 years. In her work there, she loved to help and talk with people. Eula, a very faithful, lifelong member of the Monroe Church of God, was active in many areas including Sunday School teacher and choir. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to sew. Eula was pleasant, easy going, loving and slow to anger and led by example.
She is survived by her sons, Rick Moore and wife, Fran of Monroe, Tim Moore and wife, Melaine of Mint Hill and Dolan Moore and wife, Taylor, also of Mint Hill; sister, Dorothy Helms and Doris Hartis, both of Monroe; 11 grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Ryan, Dillon, Lucas, Lyndsay, Savanna, Kelly, Van, Rana and Alex; and 5 great-grandchildren.
