WINGATE — In conjunction with Hunger & Homelessness Week, Wingate University will host a two-day visit by Greg Forbes Siegman — the real-life inspiration for “The Silhouette Man.” At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, he will deliver a lecture, as part of Wingate’s ongoing Lyceum Speaker Series, at the Batte Fine Arts Center.

On Thursday, he will speak at a chapel event on campus and visit with students in a number of courses.

“The Silhouette Man” by Jillip Naysinthe Paxson is based upon Siegman and tells the story of one person’s efforts to bring people closer together in his community and the experiences as a student which shaped those efforts.
