Arora is Merit

Commended Student

MARVIN — Monicka Arora of Marvin Ridge High School has been named a Commended Student in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. Although they will not continue in the 2010 competition for a National Merit Scholarship, the nearly 34,000 Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2010 competition.

MONROE — The Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts Fall Carnival will be Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be games, inflatables, face painting, a hayride and food.
