Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Blackburn of Pageland, S.C., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29, 2009, with a dinner in the Wolf Pond Church fellowship hall. It was hosted by Tim and Darlene Blackburn and Greg and Angie Blackburn.

They were married Aug. 29, 1959, in Pageland. Mrs. Blackburn is the former Patsy McManus, daughter of the late James and Ottis McCray McManus. She is retired from Blackburn Body Shop, where she worked as a secretary.

His parents are the late Roth and Dorothy Rowell Blackburn. He is owner and operator of Blackburn Body Shop.

Their children and spouses are: Tim and Darlene Blackburn of Pageland and Greg and Angie Blackburn of Waxhaw.

They have four grandchildren.
