Does North Carolina need a third party?
Although there are still many true conservative Republicans and some Conservative Democrats still out there who hold their parties core beliefs true, there are other options that must be explored.
The time is right for a third party. We’ve watched unprecedented bantering between both republicans and democrats. They are just two sides of the same coin. The solution is to get back to the basics. Just as athletes need to review sport fundamentals when in a slump, its time for America to do the same. Let’s get back to what really made this county great, limited government and personal responsibility.
The Constitution Party plans to do exactly that. Several of its values limit the role and influences of our government. Their “National Sovereignty” core value limits the federal government’s reach into foreign activities and puts the focus back on the domestic issues we’re facing. The “Anti-Socialism” core value limits government influence and control over the lives of its citizens and puts the accountability back on the people and society as a whole. The support of “Private Property Rights” removes the ability for government to unlawfully take property from one individual and give it to another through the improper and unlawful use of “eminent domain”. The Constitution Party’s core value of being “Pro Second Amendment” fights for the rights of our citizens to keep and bear arms as guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.
The rest of the party’s core values provides a firm foundation for society as a whole and support the values of most Americans. Being the only 100 percent Pro-life party shows its serious about the protection of innocent life. Under no circumstance should an innocent life be taken and the party believes that life begins at conception. Supporting the “Traditional Family” promotes a strong, stable society by proving the best environment for raising a child with one mom and dad. It also provides more support for families going through the unfortunate case of divorce. As our laws currently stand, the state of North Carolina actually profits for couples getting divorces. The more money the state gets in alimony and child support, the more money they get from the federal government to use as they see fit.
Lastly the party’s core value of “Religious Freedom” supports an individual’s rights to worship as they see fit without government involvement. The constitution party of North Carolina lives and breathes these values. Everything it does is driven around these values. Through its application and endorsement process it ensures people who join adhere to these values. The party promptly removes anyone who doesn,t. The hope of Constitution Party members is that many will consider a party that truly values “Principles over Politics”.

It is good to see Jeff Gerber finally leave the Republican Party. He is a cancer that needed removal, glad he removed himself.
