Thomas and Cherie McBride of Monroe announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlea Elizabeth McBride, to Garrett Keith Gaddy.

Ashlea graduated from Forest Hills High School in 2007 and attends East Carolina University in Greenville.

Her fiance is the son of the Rev. Steve and Keitha Eddins of Polkton and Mike and Sue Gaddy of Marshville. Garrett is a 2006 graduate of Forest Hills High School and attends South Piedmont Community College in Monroe.

A fall 2011 wedding is planned.
