School Briefs October 16
FAYETTE, Iowa — Charles Darren Greene of Indian Trail graduated cum laude from Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor of Science degree in public administration following the summer session.
Cum laude is awarded to those with a 3.3 to 3.59 grade point average.
Two named BK Scholars
MONROE — India Prather and Steven Demeraski of Monroe High School were among 32 North Carolina students who received $1,000 scholarships from the Burger King Scholars program. The Have It Your Way Foundation awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarships to a total of 944 students nationwide as part of the ninth annual Burger King Scholars Program.
