UCPS raises $136,352 for United Way

MONROE — Union County Public Schools raised $136,352 for United Way this year, down $24,397 from last year. The Forest Hills High School cluster won two of the three cluster-level trophies.

The Forest Hills cluster includes Rock Rest, Wingate, Marshville and Union elementaries, East Union Middle and Forest Hills High. It received awards for highest percentage of participation and highest average per capita contributor. The Cuthbertson cluster won greatest improvement in percentage of participation.

The Cuthbertson cluster includes New Town and Kensington elementaries, Cuthbertson middle and high school.

UCPS raised $160,749 last year.
