Freshman Autry impressive in Rebels' road win

Center has 16 points, 18 rebounds against Sun Valley

Parkwood's girls have found another weapon in the post.
The Rebels got 16 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks from 6-foot freshman center Brittany Autry during Tuesday's 65-38 road win over Sun Valley.
Three games into her varsity career, Autry is averaging 10.7 points and 8.0 rebounds. She was coming off a 12-point, six-rebound performance in a loss to Porter Ridge.
Autry had a double-double at halftime against the Spartans, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds to help Parkwood take a 44-22 lead into halftime.
Parkwood star Emry Tsitouris had 15 points, seven rebounds and five steals, while Lauren Brown added 10 points and six assists. Lillian Geehring, a sophomore guard, contributed six points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists for the Rebels, who improved to 4-3 in the Southern Carolina Conference and 13-5 overall.
The Spartans (0-7, 5-15) were led by Amanda Bill, who had 12 points and five rebounds.
Both teams are on the road Friday, with Parkwood playing at Marvin Ridge and Sun Valley traveling to Weddington.
