Stephanie Watts continued her brilliant season in Monday's 77-45 home win over Parkwood.
A sophomore guard with multiple Division I scholarship offers, Watts scored a game-high 44 points to help the Warriors improve to 18-5 overall and 7-2 in the Southern Carolina Conference.
Watts, who scored a career-high 50 in a win over Cuthbertson earlier this season, also finished with eight rebounds, seven steals and six assists.
Watts started out hot, scoring 18 points in the first quarter to help WHS to a 26-8 advantage.
The Warriors built their lead to 28 by halftime, and the Rebels (14-6, 5-4 SCC) never got closer than 20 in the second half.
Junior forward Bailee Carter added 13 points and seven rebounds for Weddington, which also got eight points and five rebounds from freshman guard Jada Craig.
Watts has scored at least 30 points in a game four times this season, and pulled her season average up to 22.7 points per game. In three games against Parkwood this season, Watts is averaging 35 points per game.
Brittany Autry, a freshman forward, paced Parkwood with 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
The Rebels also got 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks from junior forward Emry Tsitouris.
Tsitouris now has 19 straight games with double-digit rebounds.
