Rocky River eliminates Porter Ridge, 37-29

Pirates blow 13-point lead in fourth quarter

There will be no deep playoff run for the Porter Ridge High football program in 2013.
The Pirates were eliminated 37-29 by Rocky River in the second round of the 4A playoffs on Friday. The Ravens also beat PR 20-0 in the regular season finale two weeks earlier.
This time, Porter Ridge led by 13 points heading into the fourth quarter before giving up 21 unanswered points.
Jerrick Robbins scored two rushing touchdowns for Porter Ridge.
Robbins was Porter Ridge's offensive MVP in the 4A state title game last year, a 39-38 loss to New Bern. He also played in the 4A title game as a junior.
In 2010, Porter Ridge made the 4A state  semifinal round.
Porter Ridge's season ends at 8-5.
