Porter Ridge High will open its football season at a neutral site because the Pirates' field is saturated, according to athletic director Bill Rogers.
The Pirates are hosting Mount Tabor, but have moved the Friday night game to Monroe High's stadium, which has an artificial turf. The Redhawks open their season at Lexington on Friday (Aug. 23).
Porter Ridge carries an 18-game home winning streak into Friday's game. The Pirates are under the direction of first-year head coach Greg Neuendorf.
