Lee leads Jackets to 56-25 win over Rebels
Forest Hills senior Jared Lee did everything but play defense in Friday's 56-25 homecoming win over Parkwood, highlighted by a 274-yard rushing performance.
A senior quarterback, Lee had 200 rushing yards and thee touchdowns on just five carries with 8:06 still to play in the second quarter.
He finished with 12 carries for 274 yards that included TD runs of 88, 65 and 35 yards and also threw touchdown passes of 38 and 28 yards to senior receiver BJ Ashcraft.
Lee caught a 36-yard pass from sophomore Zaccheus Rorie, scored on a 2-point conversion and had punts of 41 and 46 yards.
"The kid can play," said Forest Hills coach John Lowery, who was showered with a Gatorade bucket for getting his 250th career win.
The Jackets are now 2-0 in the Rocky River Conference and 3-5 overall while Parkwood dropped to 1-1 and 4-4.
Junior Tyler White rushed for three touchdown for the Jackets.
Jorge Martinez had two touchdown runs for Parkwood, Max Robinson scored on a run and Sam Mobley caught a TD pass from Grey Wyrick.
