FH girls use big third quarter to down Piedmont

Forest Hills' girls improved to 7-2 in the Rocky River Conference with a 60-50 road win over Piedmont on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets used a 23-7 run in the third quarter to take a 16-point lead (43-27), and the Panthers never got the deficit inside double digits again.
Shay Bivens scored 18 points and passed out five assists to lead the Yellow Jackets, while Tonjai Everett had 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Onyx Burns also had a big night for the Jackets with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
The Jackets have won three in a row to improve to 13-5 overall.
Abbey Mills paced Piedmont with 16 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Teammate Jessica Prince had 13 points and five assists for the Panthers, and Jackie Price added 13 points and nine boards.
The loss dropped Piedmont to 5-6 in the league and 9-11 overall.
Forest Hills plays at home tonight against Central Academy, then hosts Cuthbertson on Friday.
Piedmont is at West Stanly on Friday.
