Warriors' Watts inks with UNC

Star combo guard Stephanie Watts made it official on Wednesday, signing a Letter of Intent with the UNC Tar Heels. Watts accepted North Carolina's scholarship offer as a sophomore.

Warriors finish record-setting season 22-2-1

Weddington's boys soccer team reached the state semifinal round for the first time in the program's 15-year history this season. Led by seniors Ethan McClain and Chris O'Grady, the Warriors broke the former school record for wins in a season by four.

Redhawks pull away from rival FH

Monroe's defense held Forest Hills to one scoring drive and the offense had five rushing touchdowns in the Redhawks' 34-8 road win that determined second place in the Rocky River Conference. Here are some other Union County scores from Week 12:

Cavs win first-ever conference title

Austin Kendall was in on five touchdowns during Cuthbertson's 42-41 home win over Sun Valley that assures the Cavaliers of at least a share of the Southern Conference football title. Kendall threw three TD passes to BJ Muckelvene and another to JT Cauthen. The Cavs overcame the Spartan effort of Albert Funderburke, who scored four touchdowns.
