Through assisting the people of Union County with their financial needs, Harold made many friends.

Harold had a great passion for gospel music. He had a pure tenor voice that God used to bless many through concerts, church services, weddings, and funerals. Harold started singing when he met his wife Ronda. They started a trio. Later, the Revelaires was formed and he sang with them for many years. They traveled many states singing, doing TV and radio work. After leaving the Revelaires, he formed his family group, “The Montgomery Family”. He, his wife, and two daughters. What began by singing in their home church grew to singing all over the eastern United States, and several trips into Canada. Later, a son-in-law and two grandchildren would also be a part of the family music ministry. These were his favorite times. Harold was a huge fan of Duke Basketball. He enjoyed this season and enjoyed the camaraderie of his opponent Carolina fans. Harold was always active in his church. He served on various committees, as a deacon, and in the music ministry. He currently serves as a faithful member and honorary deacon of Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe.
