MONROE — Walter Bickett Elementary School has the following events scheduled in October:

• Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., annual Fall Carnival.

• Oct. 22, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Family Food Night with Showmar’s on Roosevelt Boulevard. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be returned to the school for use in special projects and activities.

• Oct. 27, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Family Food Night with Chick-fil-a on Roosevelt Boulevard from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be returned to the school for use in special projects and activities.

• Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Parent Academy II. Learn about the new technology being used by staff and students in the classrooms. A light meal and child care will be provided. Parents should RSVP to their children’s teachers.
