WBEC art walk

set for Thursday

MONROE

Walter Bickett Education Center Pre-K will have an art walk on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The public is welcome to view the student’s work. The art walk will begin in C building, continue through B bulding, and end in the courtyard for cider and cookies.

Rorie named

All-American Scholar

MONROE

Jadelyne Rorie has been named an All-American Scholar by the United States Achievement Academy. The program recognizes students who earn a 3.3 grade point average and are nominated by a school instructor, counselor or other qualified sponsor.

Rorie, who attends Monroe Middle School, was nominated by Tressa Lowery. She will appear in the All-American Scholar Yearbook.

Rorie is the daughter of Samuel and Jacqueline Rorie of Monroe. Her grandmother is Marlene Rorie.
