Mr. and Mrs. James David Clontz of Monroe celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 7, 2009, with a dinner reception at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. It was hosted by family.

They were married Nov. 5, 1959, in Monroe. Mrs. Clontz is the former Audrey Marion Hinson, daughter of the late Brice and Pauline B. Hinson. She is retired from Union County Public Schools.

His parents are the late Theron and Ona Leigh Clontz. He is retired from the Farm Bureau.

Their children and spouses are: Stanley and Lisa Clontz of Monroe, Steven and Sharon Clontz of Gold Hill and James and Karen Clontz of Monroe.

They have eight grandchildren.
