MATTHEWS
Hazel Fannie Cole Camp, 88, of Matthews died Friday (Nov. 6, 2009).
Services will be held at a later date in Ohio.
Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail is assisting.
Miss Amaya Hollis
CHARLOTTE -- Miss Amaya Ani Hollis, infant, of Charlotte, died Thursday (November 5, 2009) at Carolinas Medical Center - University.
Memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Survivors include her parents, Michael A. Hollis, Jr. and Yolanda A. Sifford-Hollis, both of the home.
Davis Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Miss Hollis.
Geneva Nance
PEACHLAND — Geneva Stegall Nance, 93, died Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2009) at CMC-Union in Monroe.
Funeral was 2 p.m. Saturday at Deep Springs Baptist Church, with burial in the Harmony Community Church cemetery.
Born May 2, 1916, in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late M.L. and Lula Baucom Stegall and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clonnie Nance.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Nance of Peachland, Lynn Nance of Monroe; one daughter, Pat Felmet of Rock Hill, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Harmony Community Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 138, Peachland, NC 28133, or to the donor’s choice.
Morgan & Son Funeral Home of Marshville is in charge.

Bob Pennigar
CHARLOTTE — Robert Jay “Bob” Pennigar, 91, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Hospice of Union County in Monroe, N.C.
Mr. Pennigar was born January 7, 1918, in Union County, N.C., son of the late J. Hugh and Lela Smith Pennigar. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Baucom Pennigar, who died in 1995.
Bob was a WWII Marine veteran, having served 45 days on Iwo Jima. He was a retired Exxon executive in the Corporate Personnel Department, and a member of the Matthews Church of God.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bob will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009, in the McEwen Colonial Chapel in Monroe, with his pastor Bishop Rick Brackett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Judith W. Pennigar of the home; one son, Robert Darrell Pennigar of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Julie Ann Griffin and husband Jerry of Monroe N.C.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Pennigar and wife Margie of Marshville, N.C.; Wylie Pennigar of Monroe, N.C.; one sister, Martha Mae Hargett of Charlotte, N.C.; two stepsons, Stephen Wood and wife Gayle of Fort Mill, S.C., Scott Wood and wife Kim of Raleigh, N.C.; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Matthews Church of God, 517 East John Street, Matthews, NC 28105.
McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Pennigar.
