Christopher Allen Deese

Ashley and Daniel Deese of Monroe announce the birth of their son, Christopher Allen, on Oct. 20, 2009, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

Chris weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

His grandparents are Tamara and Dan Deese of Monroe and Brian and Janet DeVol of Great Falls, S.C.

He is the great-grandchild of Ruby Deese of Monroe and Fiona DeVol of Great Falls.

Taylor Evan Rogers

Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers of Waxhaw announce the birth of their son, Taylor Evan, on Oct. 27, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-Union in Monroe.

Taylor weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.

His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Walt Young Jr. of Monroe and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rogers of Matthews.

He is the great-grandchild of Amy Helms of Matthews.
