Katherine Angermann

MONROE -- Mrs. Katherine Kennedy Angermann, age 88, of Monroe, a patient of Union County Hospice, passed away on Wednesday (December 23, 2009) at Monroe Square Assisted Living Facility.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Monday (December 28, 2009) in the chapel at Central United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Gayle Ford and Reverend Britt Hadley. Interment will be at a later date in Rosedale Memorial Park in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Angermann was born on August 7, 1921, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Robert George Kennedy and Anna Mary Powers Kennedy. She was a bookkeeper and administrative assistant.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William G. Angermann and a brother, Robert G. Kennedy, Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne Mackay and husband, William Douglas, of Monroe; four grandsons, Daniel Mackay of Matthews, Jonathan Mackay and wife, Melinda, of Wingate, Steven D.A. Mackay and wife, Jennifer, of Fairlawn, Virginia, and James Mackay, currently stationed in Iraq; two great-grandchildren, Kathryn Ann Mackay and Joshua Robert Mackay, both of Wingate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Monday (December 28, 2009) in Central Hall at Central United Methodist Church in Monroe.

Ruby Fowler

MATTHEWS — Ruby Lucille Medlin Fowler, 90, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 2009) at Presbyterian Hospital.

Funeral will be noon Tuesday at Morning Star Lutheran Church, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Born April 17, 1919, in Bessemer City, she was a daughter of the late Archie A. and Lillie Armstrong Medlin and was married to the late H. Julian Fowler. She was retired from Delmar Studios in Charlotte.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie F. Fresh of Matthews; one brother, Robert Leonard Medlin of Charlotte; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the church.

Marion Hegedus

MONROE -- Marion Mae Peters Hegedus, 82, died Thursday (Dec. 24, 2009) at Elizabethan Gardens assisted living facility.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Service.

William Arthur Schaller

WINGATE -- Mr. Schaller, 89, of Wingate, passed on to his Heavenly Home on September 3, 2009, at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.

Those left to carry on his legacy and memory are two daughters, Donna and Kevin Neuberth of Wingate, and Diane and Roger Zureck of Manorville, NY; one brother, George A. Schaller of Monroe, NY; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Memorial services and celebration of his 90th birthday will take place at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Wingate United Methodist Church, Hinson Street, in Wingate.

Jessie Wilson

WAXHAW -- Mr. Jessie Wilson, age 80, of Waxhaw, passed away on Thursday (December 24, 2009) at Carolinas Medical Center-Union.

A service to celebrate the life of Jessie Wilson will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Monday (December 28, 2009) at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Donnie Crump and Reverend Scott Patterson.

Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (December 27, 2009) at Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street.

A second visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday (December 28, 2009) prior to the funeral ceremony on Monday at Davis Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born on December 19, 1929, in Celo, North Carolina, a son of the late Robert Wilson and Pearl Woody Wilson.

He was a lifelong arborist and lawn care service provider and was a member of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Estella Hughes Wilson of Waxhaw; a daughter, Joy Smith and husband Mark Smith of Waxhaw; two brothers, Floyd Wilson of Spruce Pine, and Paul Wilson and wife Gail Wilson of Midland; two sisters, Georgia Davis and Bertha Trivette, both of Spruce Pine.

There are two grandsons, Brandon Smith and wife Wendy Smith of Charlotte and Darren Smith and wife Melissa Smith of Monroe.
