INDIAN TRAIL -- A motorcyclist died today when he struck a vehicle that made a left turn into his path, according to a preliminary report by the Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred at mid-afternoon on at the intersection of Weddington Road and Waxhaw-Indian Trail roads.

Police were withholding the identity of the motorcycle rider pending notification of next of kin.
